Labaran Maku gives 150 motorcycles to unemployed youths in Nasarawa

Mr Labaran Maku, the National Secretary of All
Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), on Monday
gave out 150 Bajaj motorcycles to unemployed
youths in Nasarawa State.
The APGA scribe was represented by his Personal
Assistant, Aminu Attah, at the presentation which
took place at his residence at Wakama Village in
Nassarawa-Eggon Local Government Area (LGA)
of the state.
Maku, a formal Minister of Information and a
gubernatorial candidate of APGA in the 2015
general elections, said the gesture was to
empower the youths.
The beneficiaries were drawn from the 13 LGAs
and 18 Development Areas of the state.
“My principal has decided to respond to the plight
of the youths by giving them motorcycles due to
the high rate of unemployment in the country.
“For the past four years, youths have been
graduating in their thousands every year yet there
was no deliberate effort by the state government
to provide them with means of livelihood,” Attah
said.
He advised the beneficiaries to make judicious
use of the motorcycles in order to make positive
impact in their lives and those of their family
members.
