Obasanjo has written a letter to Senate president and House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara over plans by the National Assembly to buy 469 vehicles.
He also criticized the legislators for being insensitive to the economic situation in Nigeria.
The former president particularly blamed the legislators for fixing and earning salaries and allowances far above what the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, approved for them.
Saraki while saying that he was still reading the letter hinted that he would formally write an answer to Obasanjo in no time.The Senate president speaking through his media aide Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki restated that he would formally communicate with the ex-president on the matters he raised.
“The Senate President has acknowledged that he has received the letter and that he would formally communicate the former president,” Olaniyonu said.
