It was tension and panic as a mother of one of the abducted girls who are being held for a ransom of N10 million collapsed.

Junior Seminary (BMJS), Ikorodu, Lagos State, on Friday, slumped after
embarking on an intensive dry fasting asking God to intervene. This
caused panic as she was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
According to the Nation, the woman who is mother to one of the
abducted girls identified as Deborah Akinayo collapse after four days of
dry fasting to seek for God's face.
It was gathered that the woman had expected her daughter and others
being held by the kidnappers would have been released soon owing to
promises by security agencies. But, her hopes were dashed after nothing
positive happened last night.
A source said, “The woman had high hopes that the girls would
be rescued last night but when the kidnappers insisted on N10million,
the woman whose family has raised a million Naira collapsed.
“She was rushed to a hospital on the mainland where they live.
She was hospitalised but much later, she returned home yesterday.”
The source disclosed further that the woman had been fasting since
her daughter and others were kidnapped. But, the kidnappers have
insisted that they must pay N10 million before the girls will be
released and not the N1 million that has been raised.
When contacted, the Lagos State Police command’s spokesperson,
Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police said she was not aware of the
collapse.
“That information is not at my disposal, but the police has
intensified their efforts to rescue the girls and we are hopeful the
girls would soon be reunited with their loved ones,” the spokesperson said.
