Former president Goodluck Jonathan has atteneded the public lecture in honour of the late Bayelsa state governor, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha.
The ex-president was accompanied by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce of Bayelsa state, a Nigerian business magnate and politician.
The senator took to his Facebook page to share a series of photos of the event. He wrote: “With former President Goodluck Jonathan and my Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson as Bayelsa sends home the late DSP Alamieyeseigha.”
The public event is to be followed by the burial ceremony in Amassoma community, Southern Ijaw LG, Bayelsa state.

Earlier there was a speculation that the governor had faked his own death to avoid being extradited to the United Kingdom on charges of money laundering.
