Yo! YBNL Concert 2.0 Breaks Attendance Record For African Concerts In The Uk
On Sunday, the 9th of October, 2016, YBNL Crew led by Olamide literarily shut down Eventim Hammersmith Apollo, a five thousand capacity venue for the YBNL Concert 2.0. The event was a huge success as fans filled up the venue despite the concert tickets being sold out even before the event commenced at about 6:30pm.
The concert saw thrilling performances from Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Viktoh, Temmie and Olamide who came on stage at about 9:30pm. The excitement was infectious as Olamide performed his numerous hit singles that got fans singing along and screaming.
The hallmark of the event saw Olamide perform some of his monster singles including Eleda Mi and Melo Melo. It however became too rowdy as more fans filled up the venue entrance but were denied access due to security challenges.
Several attempts by the concert organizers to ensure entry of the thousands of YBNL fans who came to witness Olamide's electrifying final performance, including attempting to pay for added security cost was fruitless as the turn out strained heavily on the security procedures and the health and safety of the fans who had gained entry prior to the concert's kick off.
On the concert, Olamide expressed his sincere gratitude to the numerous fans who turned up for the concert. He was however disappointed that many fans did not witness the apex of his performance but still felt humbled that people trooped out in their thousands despite being denied access. Notwithstanding the security challenges, the concert still remains the most attended African concert by Nigerian artistes in the UK.

Despite a chill in the London air, YBNL boss Olamide, Princess Temmie Ovwasa, Sexy Steel and Cool FM OAP Do2dtun received a very warm welcome as they landed in the city ahead of their Sunday 9th October concert powered by entertainment business promoter Smade.
With colleagues Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Viktoh, Pheelz, DJ Enimoney and Que Pellar having landed 24 hours prior, the lastest arrivals were transported straight from the airport to a live and entertaining radio interview on The Beat FM 103.6 London's top AFROHITS SHOW with MC Timmy, Adesope Olajide and DJ YUNGMILLI.
The show is billed for Sunday 9th October, at 6:30pm-11pm and the venue is Eventim Apollo, 45 Queen Caroline St, London W6 9QH, United Kingdom. More photos below...

Falz, Adekunle Gold, YCEE Not My Lovers –Simi
Talented Singer Simi since her emergence in the music industry has been linked to quiet a handful of guys, especially those in the entertainment industry.
From Adekunle Gold to Falz and to the latest, Ycee, she has their best to convince the public that they are “just friends”.
But Simi didn’t seem to help matters when she posted online recently that she was in a “loving relationship” with rap artiste, YCEE.
While speaking to Saturday Beats on that, Simi claimed she was just “goofing around”.
Simi said, “There is no love triangle between Falz, Adekunle Gold and me. They are both great artistes that I work with and I enjoy working with them, that’s it. My account was not hacked when I tweeted that I was in a loving relationship with YCEE. People believe anything these days. We were obviously goofing around but some people saw it and believed. At the end of the day, I don’t think it is necessary to pay too much attention to it.
“Anybody that really paid attention to it would see that we were just playing around. I know some people took it seriously but it was a joke. I am a very playful person and I am always goofing around but I feel that some things I say are always taken too seriously then eventually, it is taken as news.
She further disclosed that she was in a relationship, saying, “There is a love interest in my life but I cannot say if he is an entertainer or not because I don’t like to talk about my private life. Why I shroud my personal life is because everything goes into the limelight, even things that are supposed to be kept private. I feel that people should protect the things they want to keep private. Everybody have things they go through daily but you do not need strangers to intrude in your privacy. As much as possible, keep what you can keep away from the limelight. My lover and I met before fame came my way and he is actually the best. I think he is one of the most mature people I have met. He is very understanding and he supports me. He pushes me to be the best I can be. When the time for marriage comes, you would get an invitation.”
