Wow! Is This the World's Best Dressed Farmer? See the Man Who Wears Fancy Suits to Work on Fields (Photos)

A man who is said to be the world's best farmer, has been caught on camera on his farm as he dresses fancifully to till the ground.

Kiyoto Saito

Kiyoto Saito is a young rice farmer from Kengo, Japan’s Yamagata prefecture, who is renowed for his dressing.

The man is trying to change people’s perception of agricultural work through his unusual attire.

According to Oddity Central, whether he’s driving a tractor, or is standing up to his knees in the marshy rice fields, Kiyoto is always wearing an elegant suit complete with shirt and tie.

Kiyoto’s family has been cultivating rice in the fields around Kengo for around 400 years, but as a teenager he found the tradition boring, and moved to the city. He returned to his native town a few years ago determined to start a family and get involved in the family business, but decided to put his unique twist on it.

The idea of wearing a suit in the fields started as a joke. One day, at the dinner table, his brother joked about farming in an elegant suit, but Kyioto took it seriously. He viewed the idea as the perfect way to change public perception of agricultural work in Japan.

“Most people think of farmers as ‘dirty all day’ and not making much money,” he told Zoomin TV. “I want youngsters to think ‘ farming looks fun’.

But getting his point across was a bit difficult at first, and no one seemed to understand what he was doing in a rice field dressed as a businessman or office worker.

“I stood out so much, they couldn’t understand why I wore a suit,” Kiyoto recalls. “One farmer said ‘Are you making a fool out of us’?”

Even his family was surprised by his choice of farming attire, at first. His grandfather worried that doing farm work in a suit would be dangerous, and his father admits he was confused the first time he saw Kiyoto in the fields, but he didn’t say anything about it.

But things changed as time went by and people learned about the young farmers quest to challenge preconceptions, and today Kiyoto Saito says many people support his style. “So I’ll keep wearing my suit,” he says.

A dapper rice farmer is a rare sight, so it’s no wonder that Saito has been featured in Japan’s biggest newspaper, Yomiuri Simbun, as well as other publications, and invited on various television shows.

He also has a blog where he regularly posts his farming experiences and photos of himself all dressed up.

Hunger Looming In The Country Due To Killing Of Farmers..

Persistent killing of rural farmers will lead to hunger in the country, the northern chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) said on Monday.

Yakubu Pam, its chairman, said this in Jos on Monday during an interview with NAN on the sidelines of a regional delegates’ conference of the association.

“Farmers are killed on the fields and this has forced them to abandon the farms; hunger is imminent in the country if nothing is done about this,” he said.

He called for special protection for farmers, saying farmers are vulnerable to attacks because their farms are normally in forests. Pam also drew government’s attention to the constant abduction of young girls, and appealed for special security for those in the villages.

“We have also observed that girls in the northern part of the country are being withdrawn from schools and forced into marriage,” he said.

“The association is taking a deeper look into that menace and will come out with suggestions on ways to check the trend. Our youths must resort to farming to cushion the current economic hardship; doing nothing is very dangerous.”

According to Pam, the delegates’ conference, themed ‘Peace and Unity in the Body of Christ’, was convened to buttress the need for unity in the church.

“Without love and unity, no human or spiritual community can survive, including the church. Unity of believers from different backgrounds is crucial,” he said.

British Farmer Slammed For Posing With Wild Animals He Killed In South Africa

A British farmer has been blasted over images of him posing with an elephant and other animals he gunned down in South Africa. But Ian Evans, 62, last night insisted he shot the beast in an organised cull on a reserve, which is actually beneficial.

Other snaps show him with the bodies of animals including zebra and buffalo.

Asked if he felt guilty, he said: “If I told you the truth, I would get so much clap back about it. But I cried when I shot the elephant because it was the first time I’d ever done it. It was a unique moment.”

Mr Evans said the images, posted by former daughter-in-law Helen Winters, had been on Facebook for six years.

Helen, 36, claims Mr Evans stores tusks and elephant skin products at his farm near Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire. And she alleges he killed her pet geese this year.

Helen said: “He was proud of killing animals. The last set of tusks that came over are taller than me. He has mountains of pictures. His behaviour is disgusting.”

A statement on Ian’s website said the elephant was killed in a cull seven years ago.

Asked about the claim of storing tusks and elephant-skin products, he replied: “I’m not sure if I want to answer that.”

Amid fury on social media, Roy Hallams said “Horrible piece of s***” and Chloe Flanagan added: “You make me ashamed to be part of the human race.”
