Kanye West's Mental Breakdown Linked with Marijuana by Insurer

Insurer of American rapper, Kanye West has declined to pay him a sum of $10 million over issues relating with Marijuana intake.

Kanye West's tour insurer Lloyd's of London claims marijuana may have caused his mental breakdown late last year.

The rapper is suing the insurance company, claiming it is refusing to pay him after he was forced to cancel shows in November last year.

According to legal documents Lloyd's suggest marijuana may have led to Kanye's mental health issues in a bid to invalidate the performer's insurance claim, according to The Sun.

The 40-year-old is asking for $10million in damages, claiming the company has yet to pay him out for his cancelled shows.

Furthermore, he claims it has shown no signs it intends to pay him, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Gold Digger rapper first filed a loss claim with the company just days after famously suffering a mental breakdown in November, which saw him cancelling 21 dates for his shows.

Kanye checked into a psychiatric hospital as a result of the breakdown, but more than eight months later, he's claiming both he and his company, Very Good Touring, Inc., still haven't been paid.

His company said in a legal document filed on Tuesday that insurers have yet to pay and is 'implying that Kanye's use of marijuana may provide them with the basis to deny the claim'.

Almost immediately after being hospitalized, Kanye's physician provided the insurance company with sworn testimony he was unfit to take to the stage.

According to the complaint, the insurance company then sought to amend the terms of its coverage in an effort to avoid paying him out.

'Immediately turning to legal counsel made it clear that Defendants' goal was to hunt for any ostensible excuse, no matter how fanciful, to deny coverage or to maneuver themselves into a position of trying to negotiate a discount on the loss payment,' the suit states.

Following his breakdown, Kanye also submitted to an independent medical examination (IME) with a doctor selected by the insurance company, who also deemed him unfit to perform.

He also presented for an examination under oath (EUO), along with at least 11 members of his team. The lawsuit also accuses the insurance company of leaking damaging information about the star to media outlets, all in a bid to avoid paying out his insurance.

Among the information he claims is being leaked includes his alleged drug use, which Kanye and his team have branded 'irrelevant facts'.

Kanye's lawyers have come out swinging, saying this should serve as a warning to any other musician considering hiring Lloyd's of London.

'Performing artists who pay handsomely to insurance companies within the Lloyd's of London marketplace to obtain show tour 'non-appearance or cancellation' insurance should take note of the lesson to be learned from this lawsuit: Lloyd's companies enjoy collecting bounteous premiums; they don't enjoy paying claims, no matter how legitimate,' lawyer Howard King writes in the suit.

'Their business model thrives on conducting unending 'investigations', of bona fide coverage requests, stalling interminably, running up their insured's costs, and avoiding coverage decisions based on flimsy excuses.'

'The artists think they're buying peace of mind. The insurers know they're just selling a ticket to the courthouse.'

She said the rapper bullied her. Amber Rose and Kanye West officially began dating in 2008. After two years, the pair broke up and Rose ended up with rapper Wiz Khalifa, with whom she has a son, Sebastian. She later broke up with the rapper and is currently with 21 Savage, her new boyfriend.

Meanwhile West is married to Kim Kardashian.

One of the hosts of the Complex show, “Everyday Struggle,” Joe Budden, quizzed Rose about Kanye West’s mental health condition, which has been the topic of many headlines since he was hospitalised in 2016. At first, Amber Rose was reluctant, but the host’s persistence paid off.

“Imagine living with him,” Rose said at last. “That’s all I’m gonna say.” Budden and one of his co-hosts, Akademiks, continued to press her about her and West’s Twitter fight in January of 2016. After West mentioned her son while dissing Wiz Khalifa, Rose fired back with some personal details about their former s*x life.

“I still have never said anything mean about Kanye,” she maintains. “This is after six, seven years of constant bullying from him. He said one thing about my child…”

The buzz cut-spotting celeb made sure to note that her relationship with West didn’t leave a lasting damage.

She said: “I could have had a reality show just off the fact that I was his girlfriend,” she explained.

“I said ‘You know what? I’m a real-*ss b*tch. I’m gonna take the high road. I’m gonna work my *ss off and I’m gonna get everything that I’m gonna get on my own.”

Kanye West appears to have taken a sudden U-turn in his support for Donald Trump.

The rapper has wiped his Twitter account clean of any references to the 45th President of the United States.

According to TMZ , Kanye is unhappy with Trump's first weeks in office and no longer wants to support him.

The website says that Kanye's decision to remove the tweets were all his, reporting that the "Muslim ban" and other actions were the catalyst for his decision.

Kanye had previously tweeted about Trump in a positive light and even met with him at Trump Tower before his inauguration.

Back then, he tweeted out the message: "I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change."

But now, Kanye, who is married to Kim Kardashian, has erased all evidence from his social media.
It was back in December that Kanye ventured to Trump's New York headquarters.

The pair had a meeting before posing together for photographers who were waiting in the lobby.
When asked about their meeting, Trump said he and Kanye had been friends for a "long time".

After the meeting, TMZ reported that the 39-year-old singer had been discussing a potential role with The Donald - looking at becoming an "ambassador of sorts" taking on an "entrepreneurial leadership role".

It appears Kanye West might be bidding adieu to his Calabasas studio. Movers were spotted on Thursday emptying out the 39-year-old's personal work space, packing up various design and fashion boards into their white truck.

This follows the rapper's release from UCLA Medical Center on November 30 after being held in psychiatric ward due to 'sleep deprivation' and 'dehydration' for 10 days.

Much of Kanye's music projects as well as fashion ideas for his clothing line took place in his studio.

However, with the singer's recent hospitalization incident, he appears to be taking a significant turn in his career, as TMZ claimed the artist is redirecting his music with a new album in the making.

The outlet reported Kanye has been recording in a temporary studio in his Bel-Air Mansion, which he shares with his wife Kim Kardashian, 36.

Sources close to Kanye told TMZ that 'he's been more relaxed and focused.' His studio gives him the 'privacy he needs to get healthy, while also making new music as ideas come to him.'

Kim Kardashian is planning to file for divorce from husband Kanye West ‘when the time is right’, according to sensational new claims.

The reality star and her husband have been keeping a low profile following his hospitalisation in November to recover from a mental breakdown.

And while Kim has reportedly been doing all she can to help aid the rapper’s recovery, US sources are claiming that the reality star is ‘unhappy’ in the relationship.

According to US Weekly, a friend to the Kardashians claimed: “It will take some time before she can do anything. She doesn’t want to stay married.”

It has been widely speculated that the couple may be experiencing marital issues after it was claimed that the rapper is living apart from his wife and their two kids – North, three, and Saint, 12 months – as he receives outpatient care following his 10 day stay in UCLA Medical Center.

A source told People magazine: “Kim is being very protective and doesn’t want Kanye around the kids right now.

“Kanye’s behaviour took a huge toll on their marriage. But Kim feels relieved he is getting the help he needs. She thinks this is what it will take to save him — and help their marriage.”

While another source added: “He is receiving outpatient care else with a medical team. Kim still seems concerned but is supportive.

“They don’t know for how long Kanye will need outpatient care … There are frustrations and problems, like any relationship, but they love each other deeply.”

However, it has also been reported that Kanye was allowed to attend the low key 1st birthday party for the couple’s son, Saint.

TMZ reported he left the hospital “under the care of Kim and his personal physician Dr Michael Frarzam.”

The famous hitmaker was admitted more than a week ago after suffering a breakdown which was believed to have been triggered by the nine-year anniversary of the death of his mum Donda West

Kanye West has signed Tyga to his label G.O.O.D. Music.

The rapper and clothes designer made the announcement during his pop up show at New York City's Highline Ballroom after kicking off NYFW with his Yeezy Season 4 show on Wednesday.

Tyga, of course, has an intimate connection with the Yeezus rapper as he is dating Kanye's sister-in-law Kylie Jenner.

Tyga self-released his last album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty through his Last Kings label in 2015.

However, his previous labels Young Money and Cash Money still list him as signed artist on their websites.
