Why I Want To Be Edo Governor, APC’s Obaseki

Godwin Obaseki, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming Edo State Governorship election, has said he is not longing to get into power for personal reasons, but to serve humanity.

Obaseki made the statement yesterday at the birthday ceremony of the Senior Pastor of Royal World Ministry, Benin, Pastor Rex Omosefe. He said;

“This is the primary reason I am in the race to be governor today –  to use everything that God has given me: my time, creativity, vast network and energy, to improve the lives of our people and to better our state.

“I am offering myself not for personal gains – because I have been richly blessed by God – but out of a deep sense of duty to God and a genuine desire to serve the people of Edo State.”
It will be recalled that Obaseki had been accused of longing to get into power for his personal interest.

Mrs Obaseki Promise Her Husband Will Take Entertainment Industry To The Next Level

WIFE of the governorship candidate of the APC, Mrs. Betty Obaseki says if elected, her husband would partner with the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) in the state to brainstorm on how to make entertainment a booming business in the state. Obaseki Mrs. Obaseki who stated this when she visited PMAN members and Elders at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre in Benin City, said the idea is to see how to explore the opportunities in the entertainment business to create jobs. “I am very happy and glad that you have taken your time to wait patiently for me and having come here, though my constituency, I want to say that my husband and I are lovers of music and entertainment. And I come from a family where my father because of his devotion to music had a name called Band master. The President of PMAN, Prince Maleke Idowu said the organization had no doubt about the potential of Mr. Godwin Obaseki and assured that they would all come out en masse to vote for him.
