3 Cameroon Men Jailed for 10 Years Over Boko Haram Joke

For making a joke out of Boko Haram, three Cameroonian men have been jailed for 10 years after they were tried by the military.

Amnesty International has condemned the decision by Cameroon to jail three men for 10 years over a Boko Haram joke.

The three men were tried by a Military Court in Cameroon. Fomusoh Ivo Feh, Afuh Nivelle Nfor and Azah Levis Gob were convicted of ‘non-denunciation of terrorist acts’ following a trial in Yaoundé.

Samira Daoud, Amnesty International Deputy Regional Director for West and Central Africa, said Fomusoh Ivo and his two friends should never have been arrested in the first place, as they were simply exercising their right to freedom of expression.

“Instead of being in school like their friends, these three young men will now spend years of their lives in prison for a simple joke.

“This ruling is clear evidence that Cameroonian military courts should not have jurisdiction to try civilians. The Cameroonian authorities must quash their conviction and sentence and immediately and unconditionally release all three of them,” Daoud stated.

Ivo, 27, whom Amnesty International considers to be a prisoner of conscience, was arrested on 13 December 2014 after forwarding his friends a sarcastic SMS referring to Boko Haram. He was held in police custody in Douala before being transferred to Yaoundé Prison in January 2015.

Guys, Beware! These are 10 Things Men Do in Bed That Every Girl Hates

Nigerian lecturers and teachers will face serious hard times as the Senate has passed a bill convicting any found to have s*xually harassed a student.

The Senate on Thursday passed a bill to outlaw s*xual advances from lecturers to students of tertiary institutions in the country. This means that any lecturer found guilty to have broken the law, when passed, will risk a maximum five-year jail term or N5m fine or both.

The Senate also abolished the “consent” defence claim by s*xual assault and r*pe suspects, as contained in the criminal and penal codes.

The bill provides that, “An educator shall be guilty of committing an offence of s*xual harassment against a student, if he or she has sexual intercourse with a student who is less than 18 years of age, an imbecile or of generally low mental capacity or blind or deaf or otherwise physically challenged.”

The bill also states that it is an offence when such a person “has s*xual intercourse with a student or demands for s*x from a student or a prospective student as a condition to giving a grade or the granting of honours and scholarships, or the payment of stipend, allowance or other benefits, privileges or considerations.”

The bill further states, “An educator shall be guilty of committing an offence of sexual harassment against a student if he or she solicits sex from or makes sexual advances towards a student when the s*xual solicitation or sexual advances result in an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment for the student.

“Or directs or induces another person to commit any act of s*xual harassment under this bill, or cooperates in the commission of sexual harassment by another person without which it would not have been committed; grabs or hugs or rubs or strokes or touches or pinches the breasts or hair or lips or buttocks or any other sensual parts of the body of a student.”

“Or displays, gives or sends by hand or courier or electronic (means) or any other means, naked or sexually explicit pictures or videos or s*x related objects to a student.

“Or whistles or winks at a student or scream or exclaims or jokes or makes sexually complimentary or uncomplimentary remarks about a student’s physique.”

The “Bill for an Act to Make Provision for the Prohibition and Punishment of S*xual Harassment of Students by Educators in Tertiary Educational Institutions and for Related Matters” was sponsored by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege (Delta-Central).

Omo-Agege, while addressing journalists after the bill was passed, described it as a landmark for wives, daughters and women generally.

He said, “You will recall that immediately I get into the Senate, the first and major bill I sponsored was a bill to prohibit sexual harassment of students in our tertiary institutions. We had a reason for doing that.

“We did that because we felt that this menace had been there for so long and it had gone unchecked, but we have had our daughters, our sisters, our nieces and wives and students who have been harassed and nothing was done.”

Nagging, Being Clingy & More: Top 7 Ways Women Push Their Men Away

Falling in love is easy and getting into a relationship is great but the real exercise is how best you make the relationship work out.

When dealing with people, quality time, energy and devotion must be invested into the relationship. A good relationship tends to get worse when either party starts to do things the other can’t tolerate.

The understanding principle or will of the other party would be needed when such situation arises, and when it is lacking, there is every likelihood that the relationship could get ruined.

Men and women are totally different when it comes to communication and ladies are fond of taking the drama queen role that might not go down well with their partner.

Ladies could ignorantly do things they believe are normal dating behaviour but they may inadvertently turn off their men, which could finally push him away.

These are some of the ways you may be pushing your partner away and not realise.

1. Nagging

Carl Jung once said everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves. Take it easy on yourself and equally with your partner, easy does it in life.

Avoid nagging over anything and everything, allow peace, happiness and respect to reign. There are many ways to address issues and nagging is definitely not one of them.

2. Being too clingy

Some ladies can be so pathetically possessive to the extent that the man starts to get irritated.

Yes, we know, he is your guy and we know you are excited about him, but do you really have to get emotional over everything?

Don’t let your guy think you are needy or clingy. He is yours and you are in the best position to make him respect you for who you are but being so possessive is a ‘no-no’.

3. Being too demanding

Suffocating your guy emotionally and financially is one red flag you should avoid. Lack of trust and low self-esteem are some of the factors that contribute to ladies being too demanding.

Guys love confident ladies, so if you guy senses that you aren’t that confident lady he always envisaged, he backs off.

Don’t smother him, let him breathe; you just make sure you build your self-esteem and be loved in return.

4. Trying to change him

There is nothing a guy hates more in this world that being compared to another being.

Once a lady starts pointing out her man’s faults in a derogatory way, she is pushing him away unknowingly.

The best road to a man’s heart is to talk to him about those things he treasures most, appreciate what he loves and does. You could always bring out the best in him but trying to change him is not the best way to go about that.

5. Negative thoughts

You have to stop being ‘negative Janet’ when he tells you about his plan; avoid constant negative questions and statements.

It isn’t proof that you have genuine concerns for the relationship but proof that your trust is wavering.

6. Dishonesty

For a healthy and meaningful relationship, dishonesty should be avoided, as it does nothing but strangle a relationship.

Dishonesty could bring a long-term relationship crashing down. It makes your partner think he doesn’t know you enough or the real you.

7. Dwelling in the past

If you decide to live in the past and constantly talk about his or your ex, what you are doing is pushing him away.

There is no lady on earth who would love it when her partner brings up matters relating to his ex. Just as you get tend to get jealous, so does the guy.

Always avoid dwelling on ugly matters of the past.

What! Research Shows Men’s P3nises Are Getting Smaller

Hahaha dearis God ooo. Ladies how true is this o? We won’t ask the men, because they will not accept it’s getting smaller. Lol. But really does the size matter? What Bunmi compiled....

These are certainly not the best of times for today’s men. Findings show they’re short, smelly and liars! The case of the shrinking p3nis! Let’s hope it really is what they do with it and not the size that matters because a recent study shows men’s p3nises are getting smaller! Continue...

This shocking discovery by the Life-style Condom Company (with a bit of help from latex-gloved nurses) is bound not to thrill either sexes. Previously, the Kinsey S3x Report put the average p3nis size at between 6.2 and 6.4 inches, but the condom poll claims it’s now 5.877 inches—with two thirds of the 1,000 men studied measuring between 5.1 and 6.2 inches.

This discovery could answer two of our times most perplexing questions: Why vibrator sales are at a record high and why ex-girl-friends keep going back to their well endowed lovers.

Short-men Syndrome: It’s official; short men have less luck with the ladies. The discovery, set to shock vertically challenged men everywhere, comes from Southampton Hospital. They have evidence that birth size influences emotional development. After studying 3,500 medical records and comparing them to marital status, social class and income, the team claims small babies are programmed to be shy in the womb and small boys, who grow to be short adults, are less likely to marry early.

I love you, but ... So there’s a scientific excuse after all! The reason men have an urge for one-night stand  is testosterone. Even though they may believe they have a huge attraction to a woman one night, when reality and or sobriety hits, the feelings disappear as quickly as they arrived. Men are different because the centres for emotion and reason are better connected in a woman’s brain. And, because women aren’t out of control on testosterone, they find it easier to evaluate whether a man is potentially the right partner.

Dirty, dirty boys! Despite years of cajoling from the girls and all the cosmetics firms spending hundreds of thousands of naira to persuade them to use their grooming products, men still spend less than 15 minutes in the bathroom each morning. But, don’t despair! This trend is set to change—a recent Mintel survey found that the under-24 age group are now more likely to spend up to an hour making the effort to look and smell good, which might increase the chances of males getting more cleaner in the nearest future.
