The Shocking Story of a Powerful Government Minister Who Never Slept with His 4 Wives

Many people have been left with mixed-feelings over the passion of a powerful Minister who never slept with his four wives.

This might come as a shock for many regarding this seemingly unbelievable news of a powerful government Minister who never slept with his four wives.

Here is the story as detailed by The Kenyans.

************

The Kenyan political system is one that has been full of intrigues and secrets, with different players sometimes going overboard to hold on to power.

Though less publicised to many, Kenyan Presidents have over time been known to have close confidants in their inner circles, most of whom influence major decisions by the government.

As documented in a book titled: Dark Secrets of the Kenyan Presidency by one Chris Kumekucha, selected individuals held top government secrets with a classical case being that of the late powerful Minister Mbiyu Koinange. Mr Koinange served as the Minister of State in the office of Kenya's founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

According to those close to him, Koinange is said to have revealed to a friend that he was afraid of sharing a room with any of his four wives just to guard the secrets of the State.

“What would happen if I dreamt in my sleep and started divulging Jomo’s secrets? I certainly cannot live with such an eventuality, so I decided never to share a bedroom with anyone, my wives included,”he once divulged.

During Mzee Kenyatta's administration, Mr Koinange is said to have been one of the most powerful government officials trusted with all the good and dark secrets of the President.

According to former Butere Member of Parliament Martin Shikuku as documented in other files, there was some information purely trusted with Koinange and Kenyatta could not even mention a word of it to his wife Mama Ngina Kenyatta.

“I was told to mind my business because there were things Kenyatta talked about with Koinange that he couldn’t share even with First Lady Mama Ngina,” Shikuku said.

Being an instrumental political go-between and the power behind the throne in the Kenyatta Presidency, Mr Koinange was close to untouchable.

To further demonstrate the bond, former Subukia MP Koigi Wamwere once narrated how a powerful Koinange was protected after being mentioned by a Commission investigating the death of former Nyandarua North lawmaker JM Kariuki.

“Kenyatta is reported to have said that to have Koinange’s name on the report was to have his own there as well,” Wamwere was quoted.

Being a highly regarded and well-protected government official, Koinange paid for the privilege by maintaining a high level of secrecy in regard to undertakings by the Kenyatta regime.

Mbiyu Koinange passed away on September 2, 1981, at Nairobi Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

The Agricultural Minister Said Bag Of Rice May Cost #40,000 By December

The Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has said that Nigeria spends about $22bn a year on importation of food.

Lokpobiri made this known on Saturday at a town hall meeting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

He said the development had led to the astronomical rise in price of rice and other commodities, stressing that if Nigerians failed to produce some of the items being imported, before December the price of rice would skyrocket to N40,000 a bag.

He said there was a projection that by 2050, Nigeria’s population would be 450 million, wondering what would happen then if the people could not feed themselves now.

Lokpobiri said, “For your information, we spend about $22bn a year importing food into Nigeria. We know how many more dollars … and that is why you see the price of rice going up.

“Price of rice was N12,000 some months ago, but it is now about N26,000 and if we don’t start producing, by December it could be N40,000.

“Rice matures in three months. So, this is a wake up call for Bayelsa people to take the four farms we have seriously. The federal government has four farms in the state in our records. The average land you see in Bayelsa can grow rice, so the colonial masters were not wrong in their assessment when they said Niger Delta could feed not only Nigeria but the entire West Africa sub-region.

“Unfortunately, agriculture till today, is not a priority of the Niger Delta as far as the state governments are concerned because of oil.”

He said the states in the Niger Delta had yet to give priority to agriculture the way the North-West states such as Kebbi, Jigawa, Kano as well as other states like Lagos, Ebonyi, Anambra, have prioritised it.

He said Anambra State for instance, was not owing salaries despite the fact that it does not have oil but raking in money by exporting vegetables.

Wonder how Christmas will be for people if that comes to reality

Sweden's Youngest Ever Minister Resigns

Aida Hadzialic, 29, expressed remorse for her actions after being caught drink driving as she announced her intention to step down from her post as Sweden's Minister for Secondary Schools. At a press conference on Saturday, she said she would formally resign on Monday.

Hadzialic was stopped at random by police on Thursday evening and was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.2 grams per litre. At Saturday's press conference, Hadzialic explained that she had been at a concert in Copenhagen and had two glasses of wine before setting off to drive to Malmö four hours later. Apparently she believed the alcohol would have left her system in that time.

She is quoted by Swedish tabloid, Aftonbladet, as saying: "After the concert, I chose to take the car home to Malmö, of course, in the belief that I was not affected. There and then I committed my life's biggest mistake. I choose to do this [quit] because I believe what I have done is that serious."

Sweden's Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said in a statement he agreed with Hadzialic's "assessment of the seriousness of the situation", but added it that she was a good person who had done a bad thing. Lofven said he was sorry to lose his colleague and praised her "excellent" work, while in office.

Nigeria to Sign Visa-free Pact with 8 Countries...See Exciting Details

The Nigerian government has moved to cement its trade relationship with sister African countries by ensuring free passage.
Mr Geoffrey Onyeama

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, says plans have been concluded to sign visa-free pacts with a bloc of eight African countries to promote economic partnership on the continent.

Onyeama announced this in Abuja on Tuesday at a news confernce to mark one year of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Administration. The minister, who did not disclose the names of the countries making up the bloc, noted with concern that trading among African countries had been very low. He, however, said that with the new idea by the President Mohammadu Buhari led administration.

“it is expected that there will be upsurge in economic activities.

“Africa is the centrepiece of our foreign policy but it is a paradox that as a Nigerian, you cannot go to an African country without a visa unlike what is obtainable in Western Europe.

“To address this as a leader in the continent, the country is at a point of introducing an initiative to promote African trade as part of the country’s foreign policy of Africa as the centrepiece”, he said.

Onyeama said Nigeria was trying to come up with an initiative, like the one in Western Europe where one could enter any sister country without a visa. According to him, what we are trying to do at the ministry is to promote visa-free, free movement of business people.

“We want to start with about eight countries or see if they come up as a group of eight countries. At the presidential level, they agreed to that, and signed up to free movement.

“If we can achieve that within a year, then other countries may want to join and we believe this is a better way to go than institutional ECOWAS etc, as countries take so long to ratify agreements.

“We believe we can just start off, eight countries and they agree among themselves, then others will come in,” he said. Onyeama also added that it would not help if the continent continued to export just raw materials to developed nations.
