See hillarious photos of malnourished prisoners in delta state prison

The Nigerian Government said it spends N14,000 daily to feed each prisoner. The Minister for Interior Abdulrahman Danbazzau, who disclosed this last May during a town hall meeting in Kaduna State said that "it is unacceptable for government to be committing N10 billion every year on feeding of prison inmates"

However, photos of severely malnourished inmates in Delta State Prison posted on Facebook on Friday, December 16th, by Prince Harrison indicates otherwise. See what he wrote after the cut... 

"Today I visited a prison in Delta State Nigeria. This is their condition. No medical facility, no drugs. They are dying. I was able to get a lawyer who has promised to defend them so they can leave prison and get quick medical attention. They can't urinate, they can't stand for 10minutes. Our laws says they are Innocent until proven guilty. They deserve a better life. I stand with Yali Network to bring awareness to our government on the need for the welfare of Nigeria Prison"

See The Kind Deed Yobo Want To Do

A former Captain of the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo, said he would work to secure bail for many inmates of the Ikoyi Prisons, especially those awaiting trial.

Yobo spoke at the inauguration of the Ikoyi Prisons Football Academy on Saturday in Lagos.

He said, “I have never been to the prisons before but on getting to Ikoyi Prisons, I realised the need to give hope to someone.

“The Joseph Yobo Foundation is ready to do everything within its means to secure bail for as many as possible that are awaiting trial, especially those in the facility’s football academy.

“I am happy with what is going on in this facility. I have never been here before but when I got here, what I saw jolted me.

“I thought I will see persons looking very sad, rushing to go out but rather, I saw them very happy, cheerful and looking very hopeful.

Yobo said that it was in this light that his foundation would seek to secure the bail for some of the inmates, train them and support them in the academy

Colombia Allows 17 Prisoners Get Married Right In Jail (Photos)

A notorious high-security prison in Colombia allowed 17 of its inmates to get married yesterday to their long-term girlfriends.

The mass ceremony at the Carcel Villa Hermosa prison in Cali, Colombia saw the happy couples sign up to spend the rest of their lives together, once their husbands have completed their jail terms.

The 17 brides, all dressed in white, entered the prison and made their way through a series of barred gates before entering a large hall in the prison.More photos below...

Nigerian Army respond to Boko Haram request for prisoner swap for release of Chibok girls

Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Abayomi Olonishakin‎ today responded to Boko Haram's request for their members who are in custody of the Federal government to be released in exchange of the kidnapped Chibok girls. The sect members made the demand in a video released yesterday August 14th. 

Speaking on the request by the sect, Colonel ‎Olonishakin after a security Council meeting in Abuja today, told newsmen that the decision to swap the girls is a political one 

"‎That is a political decision to be taken. The military's decisions that we are going ahead with our operations and the operations are being conducted appropriately"he said

The military chief also stated that the military is still analyzing the new video from the sect.
