I Never Thought I'll Have a Reason to Laugh Again - TeeBillz Talks on Battle with Depression, Attempted Suicide

Popular Lagos-based artiste manager, Tunji 'TeeBillz' Balogun, who almost got divorced from his celebrity wife, Tiwa Savage, has opened up about his 2016 battle with depression.

 

In a revelation made on Instagram, Tunji Balogun, a.k.a TeeBillz who is the estranged husband of Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, disclosed that he was in a dark place in 2016 when he almost attempted suicide.

 

The music and entertainment promoter who wrote to motivate those who are down with stress and depression, said he never thought he’d ever have a reason to laugh again.

 

Here's what the artiste manager wrote in full;

 

"When you are in a dark place, from my own personal experience I know it's very hard to believe anything good and even the concept of God is questionable at that moment. 

"Trust me, God will definitely come through for you..... About a year ago I never thought I will have a reason to laugh again. But God's Mercies and Grace are beyond human COMPREHENSION ! TRUST in Him. 

"Keep HOPE Alive. Have FAITH in God's Faithfulness. He is your FATHER and His LOVE for you is Eternal and Unconditional. If you can see and believe this HELP is on the way. 

"Hopefully this picture can help someone out there that is poisoned by stress, under pressure, feeling pain or afraid of failure. Know this for SURE my God can fix every broken situation in your life.

Following his chaotic marital crisis that shook entertainment lovers in Nigeria, Teebillz, Tiwa Savage's ex hubby has been spotted in a club.

Tunji Balogun aka Tee Billz, who just survived a meltdown after a messy separation from Tiwa Savage, was spotted on Thursday at the popular bar, Churchill Bar in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos.

 

According to Entertainment Express, he was dressed in a black long-sleeved Kaftan into the upscale hangout around 8pm in company of a friend.

 

Tee Billz who was looking very calm and relaxed exchanged greetings with a few recognizable faces. The father of four had time to exchange some banters with pals.

 

“The Tee Billz I saw looked very much like his old self. He just came to enjoy himself and looked like somebody who doesn’t have one care in the world,” confided a source.

Shortly after, he retired to the exclusive VIP section with his male partner where they had a nice time with other companies.

 

Although he is yet to make any major public appearance, it was obvious that he has put the events of the past five weeks behind him.

 

In the past few weeks, it was reported that Tee Billz would undergo rehabilitation and counselling for possible drug and alcohol abuse. A drug test sponsored by friends reportedly gave him a clean bill of health.
