Three Women Killed Staging Terror Attack On Kenya Police Station

Three women have been killed after trying to stage an attack at the main police station in the Kenyan port city of Mombasa, officials say.

The women, wearing hijabs, entered the station saying they wanted to report a crime, police say. One of the women pulled a knife and another threw a petrol bomb, starting a fire. Two officers were injured.
It is not clear who is behind the attack, but Islamist group al-Shabab has staged numerous attacks in Kenya.

The Somali-based group has been targeting Kenya since 2011, when Kenyan troops were deployed to rid Somalia of the militants.

Troops Arrested 3 Boko Haram Suspect

The Nigerian Army on Wednesday said that troops fighting to rid the North East of remnants of Boko Haram terrorists have arrested one of the group's wanted Commanders in its wanted list .

This disclosure was made in a statement from Army headquarters signed by Col Sani Usman in Abuja.

It reads, "The Boko Haram suspect on the wanted list number 105, Muhammed Bulama, has been arrested by troops on Tuesday 6th July 2016 in Yobe State.

"Bulama was arrested along side with 2 other suspected Boko Haram terrorists; Ardo Abba Muhammed (elder brother to Bulama as claimed) and Muhammadu Kaigama, in Azare community, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, with the help of the local vigilantes in the town.

"They were arrested riding on horseback and bicycle shepherding some sheep towards market.

"During preliminary investigation, the suspected terrorist personally confirmed his photograph on the wanted list and further revealed that he specialized on rearing animals for the terrorist group.

"He further confessed that they came to the village to sell the animals as they had ran out of cash in their hideout and would also get some food items back to for the upcoming Sallah festivity."

ISIS Unveils First Ever Female Spokesperson In A Bid To Lure More Women

Islamic State has taken the unusual step of using a female spokesperson in one of its propaganda videos.

The terror group has broken from tradition by announcing the move in a short video entitled Foundation of the Euphrates.

But the woman’s identity is not revealed because she is wearing a burka. The video shows the female jihadi wearing full-length black clothing, which is forced on women under the group’s strict interpretation of Sharia law.

It comes after the jihadis launched a women-only magazine called Majestic which is distributed to followers online and in areas under ISIS control.

However, it is believed to be the first time the group has placed a woman in such a visual role. It is thought that the video could be an attempt to recruit more women into the organisation.
