A prominent and founding member of the People Democratic Party, PDP, and a close friend of Nigeria former president, President Goodluck Jonathan leaves PDP for APC.
The Bayelsa born PDP, Diekivie Ikiogha, formerly dumped party yesterday (20th June) along side
with other with some other prominent members of the party, such as Paul Ajuwa, Victor Awala,
Ireneand. Also some members of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA defected.
Speaking at his welcome party, organized by the state’s APC, the former Bayelsa State Chief of
Staff, reveals why he left PDP,, he said PDP is a party full of deceitful persons and a bunch of betrayals.
Receiving the defected members, All Progressive Congress National Chairman,represented by Hilliard Etathe, the South-South party National Vice-Chairman, cleared the air over the controversies surrounding Ikiogha’s defection.
Oyegun states that the ceremony has nothing to do with emergence of party’s flag bearer in the forth coming state’s governorship election.
The Chair man reassure that the process of electing the party’s flag bearer would be transparent as that of the one which produced President Muhammadu Buhari as the APC
presidential candidate for 2015 presidential election.
