The national executive committee of the Nigeria Labour Congress
yesterday held a meeting in which they concluded a total strike will
begin on Wednesday, 18th of may, 2016 to protest the increase in the
fuel pump price from N86.50k to N145 per litre by the federal
government.
The meeting was attended by all major civil society organisations based
in Abuja and was chaired by the president of the NLC, Mr. Ayuba Wabba.
According to a source, Monday and Tuesday would be given to the federal
government to reverse the new price.
