Marriage Split: Mel B's Mum Moves In With Her

As one of the Spice Girls she famously sang about her love for her mum. Now it seems Mel B is sticking to her word after apparently calling on her mum Andrea and asking her to move in following her split from Stephen Belafonte .

She reportedly asked Andrea Brown to join her in her Los Angeles pad after calling time on her ten year marriage. It will also be of note that, the mum-of-three recently reconciled with 60-year-old Andrea after a decade of not speaking.

The singer became distanced from her family in 2007 after they spoke of their concerns ahead of her nuptials to Stephen. It seems they've finally managed to put the past behind them as she has now asked her to move in with her and her three children, Phoenix, Angel Iris and Madison.

Marriage Palaver: These are 10 Things Married Women are So Sick of Hearing Already

Although marriage is such a great thing, married women sometimes get fed up with certain comments they hear from people everyday.

Married life is pretty damn sweet—you’ve got a teammate for life and someone to spend holidays with. But while being married rocks, some of the outside commentary that comes with it can get really…well, annoying. Raise your hand if you’re hitched and have heard these more than a few times. (We thought so.)

1. “So, when are you going to have kids?”

Everyone from your mom to your office manager starts asking this about a millisecond after you say “I do.” Been married a while and already have a kid? They’ll ask when the next one is coming. Note to self: People won’t be satisfied until you morph into Michelle Duggar.

2. “What’s it like?”

Are you looking for an existential answer? It’s like floating on a narwhal through an ocean of rainbows set to the music of the adult contemporary band, Chicago. Or, it’s the exact same as dating, only with joint checking.

3. “You’re different now.”

Oh, right, because getting a rock on my finger finally gave me the opportunity to reveal my true self. (Mwa-ha-ha!) Seriously, what are you getting at here?

4. “When are you changing your name?”

The answer is always the same: “I’ll think about it when my husband seriously considers changing his.” (Just don’t say that to Nana—she’ll have a heart attack.)

5. “Are you going to buy a house?”

Are you going to give me the money for the down payment? Then, absolutely!

6. “What do you think of your in-laws?”

Unless this question is asked by your parents, siblings, or BFF, you just paint a rosy picture. Can’t do it with a straight face? “They’re great!” works every time. You can always cover your muffled laughter with a cough.

7. “Do you ever get sick of each other?”

The public answer is “no.” The private answer is, “well, yeah.” You’ve heard him “sing” in the car, right?

8. “I could never get married.”

Hey, to each her own! But…why are we talking about this? Guaranteed it would not go over well if I said, “I could never be single.”

9. “You wouldn’t understand: You’re married.”

You’re right—because I’ve never been single or dated in my life. Clearly. This guy over here? He just randomly showed up on my doorstep one day and then—boom—married!

10. “Is he your best friend?”

You know it!

Shocking! Groom Divorces His Wife 2 Hours After Wedding...His Reason Will Shock You

A wife was left in tears and emotional torture after her husband divorced her just two hours after getting married.
*Photo used for illustrative purpose*

A Saudi man shocked his wife by divorcing her just two hours after they got married. The reason for the man's decision has left many people disbelief. The man said he divorced his newly wed wife because she broke an agreement not to share pictures of the ceremony over Snapchat.

The groom, upon learning that images of the wedding had been sent to female friends of his new wife, immediately filed for divorce.

The agreement not to share pictures or video of the ceremony was apparently a binding one, Saudi press reported.

The bride's brother told Saudi daily Okaz: "There was a prenuptial agreement between my sister and her fiancĂ© that she would not use social-media applications such as Snapchat, Instagram or Twitter to post or send her pictures.

"It was included in the marriage contract and became binding. Regretfully, my sister did not honour the pledge and used Snapchat to share pictures from the wedding ceremony with her female friends, resulting in the shocking decision by the groom to cancel their marriage and call for divorce."

The episode caused a huge row between both families, with the bride's relatives arguing that the agreement was unfair, and the groom's relatives arguing that he had been perfectly within his rights to file for divorce.

Earlier this year a Saudi husband divorced his wife hours after their wedding because she was too busy texting her friends to consummate the marriage.

Marriage Of Former Nuns Saddens Pope...

Pope Francis was upset to hear that two former nuns had married in a civil ceremony in Italy, Vatican Deputy Secretary of State Archbishop Angelo Becciu says.

"How much sadness on the Pope's face when I read him the news of the two married 'nuns'!" Becciu tweeted.

Federica and Isabel were joined in a civil union in northern Italy last month, taking advantage of a law passed this year that offers homosexual couples legal recognition -- one of the last countries in the West to do so.

The pair, who did not give their surnames, told La Repubblica that they had fallen in love while serving as missionaries in the West African country Guinea-Bissau.

Federica, 44, comes from Italy and Isabel, 40, comes from South America.
They said they could have done what other nuns did and live together in a convent while hiding their relationship, but said this would have been "false".

"There are many such cases where priests or nuns hide their relationships with men or women," the pair were quoted as saying, adding that they had received no help when they left their religious order.

"We felt alone, more than that, we felt abandoned."

Marriage Is Beyond Cooking- Pastor Chris Ojigbani

Recently, there is this controversy going on in the social media that a man shouldn’t marry a woman who doesn’t know how to cook or a woman who doesn’t pray for an hour. So, I deem it necessary to clarify the issue. As the apostle of marriage, it’s my responsibility to clarify the issue to avoid causing more delayed marriage, separation and divorce in the world.

This is the will of God concerning the issue: You must not use cooking as a criterion for choosing your spouse. Though food is important in life, cooking must not be used as a criterion for choosing a spouse. Why? I tell you three reasons.

First, a woman who doesn’t know how to cook can actually learn how to cook. Second, a woman can employ the services of a professional cook. Third, a husband can tolerate if his wife doesn’t cook very well. Tolerance is important in marriage because everybody has weaknesses, both husbands and wives.

If a woman doesn’t know how to cook, it should be regarded as a weakness and the husband has to tolerate in order to be happy. It’s very wrong for a man to divorce his wife because she doesn’t know how to cook. Nobody used cooking as a criterion for choosing a spouse in the Bible. In fact, when Isaac married Rebekah, he didn’t meet her, it was his servant that proposed marriage to Rebekah on behalf of Isaac and paid the bride price even before Isaac set his eyes on Rebekah. So in Christianity, we don’t use cooking as a criterion for choosing a spouse.

It’s also important you note that praying for an hour must not be used as a criterion for choosing a spouse. There is no scripture that says Christians must pray for an hour before they become good Christians. What Jesus Christ asked his disciples was: why couldn’t they watch with Him for an hour. Watching is different from praying. And when they failed to watch with him for an hour, they didn’t cease to be Christians. Even Peter, who couldn’t watch for an hour became the head of the disciples. If Peter couldn’t watch for an hour and still became the head of the disciples, why should we use praying for an hour as a criterion for choosing a spouse?

Do you know that vain repletion is a sin in Christianity? Jesus Christ said that we should not speak much in prayer. In Matthew 6:7-8, the Bible says that speaking much in prayer is a sin. If you need something, you should ask your Father what you need. Just go straight to the point - the Bible says that He already knows what you need, even before you ask Him. So, if you are not yet married and you are a man, never you use cooking as a criterion for choosing your spouse. It’s very wrong. God will not be happy with you if you do something like that.

I am speaking to you as the apostle of marriage that God has sent to correct the wrong doctrines of marriage in the world. Get married, not because a woman knows how to cook, but because she is a good woman. If you marry someone that knows how to cook and she is not good, what happens to you? Man shall not live by bread alone.

If you are a married man under the sound of my voice, never you divorce your wife because she doesn’t know how to cook. You can teach her how to cook or you tolerate her. Marriage is about tolerance. And as a husband, it’s important you note that it’s your responsibility to nourish your wife, tolerate her, forgive her, and take good care of her. It’s a job you have to do.

God bless you. I love you! Don’t forget: marriage is beyond cooking; marriage is beyond praying for an hour.  Marriage is an old fashioned institution. It’s the oldest institution and must be honored.
