Check Out Acting President's Daughter, Kiki Osinbajo and Her Fancy Lifestyle (Photos)

As Zahra Buhari has carved a niche for herself following the emergence of her father, President Muhammadu Buhari as the First Man of Nigeria, Kiki Osinbajo is also making waves in her own right.

Kiki Osinbajo is the first and one of the beautiful daughters of the Acting President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and wife, Dolapo. Other siblings include Kanyinsola and Fiyinfoluwa.

It could be recalled that Kiki’s pictures were the first to be seen among her siblings when her father was elected as the vice president of Nigeria and ever since, the beautiful young lady has become an internet sensation.

After her father emerged as the Vice President, the University of Lagos (Unilag) graduate Kiki Osinbajo can categorically be listed among the rich kids of Nigerian millionaires and she has never let her fans down.

The 24-year-old lady has carved a niche for herself in the fashion industry and she never forgets to slay either in a pair of jeans and top, a simple short or long gown or even in Ankara fabrics. Kiki has been termed the slayer.

However, her love for photo shoots can’t be compared to none because if she is not spending time with her cousins, her parents or with her NGO, Kiki can be found taking pictures in the studio and attending one function or the another.

Aside from just lounging in the wealth of her father, Kiki decided to build a platform for herself which is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with. The young lady is the founder of Fight For Our Soldiers Nigeria, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

The foundation was developed majorly to show love to the little children who have little or no means of survival as well as women especially widows, so they can be able to feed their family.

Osinbajo Sends Onnoghen's Name to the Senate for Confirmation...See Details

After many weeks of waiting, the acting President Yemi Osinbajo has forwarded the name of Justice Walter Onnoghen to be confirmed as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

After the long wait, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has finally sent Justice Walter Onnoghen's name to the senate for confirmation as the Chief Justice of Nigeria. This is coming just two days to the expiration of the tenure of the Onnoghen as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

According to ThisDay, a source close to the Office of the Senate President, said Senate President Bukola Saraki received the letter yesterday (Tuesday), requesting the upper chamber to screen and confirm Justice Onnoghen, a Cross River State indigene, as the substantive CJN.

Also, a ranking senator speaking on the condition of anonymity, said he was aware that the acting president had transmitted Justice Onnoghen’s name to the Senate for confirmation.

However, he cautioned that just because the presidency had transmitted Justice Onnoghen’s name, it should not expect the Senate to rubber stamp his nomination without a thorough investigative and screening process.

He also pointed that the Senate was currently on recess, so it would be left to Saraki to decide whether to reconvene the Senate to kick-start the screening process before Justice Onnoghen’s tenure as acting CJN lapses on Friday.

“The Senate President is in receipt of the letter from the acting president, but it will be left to Senator Saraki to reconvene plenary to start the screening process.

“But even if he does so, the presidency should not expect us to rubber stamp Justice Onnoghen’s nomination, as we would have to carry out our own background checks, investigation and screening before deciding whether to confirm him or not,” the senator said.

Also, it was revealed that due to the lack of sufficient time to conclude Justice Onnoghen’s screening in two days before the expiration of his tenure as the acting CJN, Osinbajo, based on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC), could renew it as an interim measure while the Senate goes about the screening and confirmation exercise.

It is also believed that NJC in view of the current situation, will hold an emergency meeting today to recommend the renewal of Justice Onnoghen’s tenure as the acting CJN.

A source with the NJC said that the council would meet to recommend Justice Onnoghen to the acting president for reappointment in an acting capacity, as this would not require Senate confirmation.

“While serving in an acting capacity for the second time, the Senate will go about its business screening him at its own pace,” the source who was in the know of the likely outcome of the meeting, confided in THISDAY.

Justice Onnoghen’s reappointment as CJN in an acting capacity will be in line with Section 231(4) and (5) of the constitution.

The section states: “If the office of Chief Justice of Nigeria is vacant or if the person holding the office is for any reason unable to perform the functions of the office, then until a person has been appointed to and has assumed the functions of that office, or until the person holding the office has resumed those functions, the President shall appoint the most Senior Justice of the Supreme Court to perform those functions.

“Except on the recommendation of the NJC, the appointment pursuant to the provisions of sub-section (4) of this section shall cease to have effect after the expiration of three months from the date of such appointment and the President shall not reappoint a person whose appointment has lapsed.”

In recent weeks, pressure has been mounted on the presidency to appoint Justice Onnoghen the substantive CJN after northerners had held the post for 30 years.

The transmission of Justice Onnoghen’s name to the Senate follows the clean bill he was given by the Department of State Service (DSS) that has been involved in the probe of some judges of the Supreme Court and other lower courts.

Nigeria Has Been Badly Governed, But There's Great Hope - Osibanjo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday said Nigeria’s worsening economic experience was as a result of sabotage and bad governance.

Mr. Osinbajo, who was receiving the Northern States Pentecostal Bishops Forum in his office in Abuja, said apart from depreciation in Naira value, the country’s economy had no reserves to support it.

“At the height of the oil boom, there were no savings,” he said.

“There is no country in the world that can face the kind of stealing that took place in Nigeria without having to deal with the consequences, including the current state of the economy.”

But, the Vice President said although the times were hard today, there was “great hope the country will prosper again soon.”

“This country has been badly governed. We are dealing, for instance, with the embezzlement of funds to the tune of $15 billion in one sector alone,” he said

Osibanjo to publicly declare asset soon

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will finally declare their assets publicly after the Code of Conduct Bureau must have verified it.

Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu disclosed this in a statement on Saturday evening. Buhari’s failure to declare his assets publicly upon assumption of power shocked many who believe that transparency begins that way. More so, he had promised during his campaign to do so.

The Code of Conduct Bureau had claimed that it lacked the constitutional powers to Make Buhari’s assets declation public.
Apparently in response to comments about the matter, Buhari was quoted in a statement by
Garba Shehu as saying that his declared assets and those of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will be
released to the public upon the completion of their verification by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

“It is hoped that this process will be completed before the expiry of the 100-day deadline withinwhich they said they would do this,” Shehu said.
