Here Are 7 Weird Signs You Might Have a Heart Problem

For your own safety and life, check out these seven signs that could indicate that you might have a heart problem.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's most recent statistics, heart disease is the leading cause of death for women over 35, accounting for one in every four deaths. This is why you must take good care of your heart to be healthy and keep living. Here are signs you should take serious indicating that you might have a heart disease according to Women'sHealth.

1. Swollen Legs and Ankles
That extra-large burrito may not be the only reason you're feeling super bloated. While leg bloating can result from all kinds of things, it can also be caused by a heart valve problem. A build up of fluids (a.k.a. edema) is a common symptom of congestive heart failure, when your heart is unable to process blood in and out at the proper rate, says Goldberg.

Before you freak out, know that this type of swelling, in contrast to run-of-the-mill bloating, will get worse with time and/or begin creeping further up your body. So if the swelling reaches that point of severity, you know it's time to call a doctor.

2. Headaches
Before you pop a Tylenol and shrug off that head pain, know that severe headaches can be symptomatic of a stroke or blood clot, too, says Goldenberg. While a headache alone isn't necessarily indicative of a heart issue, if you're experiencing it along with other symptoms like stiffness in your neck, fatigue, or dizziness, or it comes on suddenly, you could be in danger of an aneurysm and should seek medical attention.

We asked a hot doc how to treat a headache without meds. Here's what he said:

3. Exhaustion
This might be the hardest sign to decipher because there are a million reasons you might feel tired—lack of sleep, stress, etc. But here we're talking an abnormal level of fatigue. "If you're relatively fit and all of a sudden start feeling winded climbing a flight of stairs, there's a problem," says Goldberg. Another sign: If you're feeling a level of weakness that you'd previously only experienced when sick with the flu. In this case, your heart may be struggling to oxygenate your body.

While this symptom is easy to dismiss, particularly for women who refuse to slow down, it should be a red flag if you're experiencing it along with any other strange symptoms.

4. Stomach Cramping
Many people assume heart pain is felt directly in the chest, or in the left arm, says Goldberg. But what some don't realize is that the pain can radiate elsewhere in the body, too. "It's not uncommon that I see people complaining of stomach pain, when really the issue is their heart," she says.

When you're feeling those sharp stomach cramps, it's possible that your heart is radiating pain signals to your stomach. Although this could also indicate the flu or heartburn, Goldberg says if it's something you've never felt before, go to a doctor just to be sure.

5. Fainting
Fainting is the result of a drop in blood pressure, and that can be brought on by a number of things from changes in posture (think: that rush to the head you get when you get out of bed too fast) to which medications you're taking. But it could also be indicative of a more serious issue. A valve disorder that doesn't allow proper blood flow, a too slow or too fast heartbeat, or an aortic tear could all be the cause for fainting, says Goldberg.

If you faint in an isolated incident, it probably isn't cause for concern. On the other hand, you should consider seeing a doctor if you're fainting persistently or have fainted and are experiencing additional symptoms.

6. Dizziness
Like many of these symptoms, occasional dizziness is not a cause for concern. That light-headed feeling could result from standing up too quickly, dehydration, etc. But if the dizziness persists, that's when it's time to see a doctor. If the problem is your heart, it's likely due to artery blockages or valve issues messing with your blood pressure, says Goldberg.

7. Upper Back Pressure
Again, a heart attack isn't always felt in the heart. Often patients say a heart attack feels like there's an elephant sitting on their chest; but that elephant could also be on your upper back, says Goldberg. If you're feeling an overwhelming amount of pressure on your upper back, that could be a sign of a heart attack.

Five Early Signs of Cancer You Probably Don't Know About...No 5 is Very Important

Watch out! These are the five early warning signs of cancer you may not know about and must take very serious.

When it comes to treating cancer, getting diagnosed early really can mean the difference between life and death.

However a patient survey revealed that more than half of Brits ignore "red-flag" symptoms because they are worried about wasting their doctor's time.

Many weren't aware of the sings of cancer and blamed their ailments on ageing.

So what are the early symptoms to look out for?

Some of the potential early warning signs of cancer include:

1. Unexplained weight loss or a sore that does not heal

2. A persistent cough or hoarseness, a lump, diarrhoea or constipation

3. Moles with an irregular shape or jagged edges should be checked by a GP.

4. A feeling of not having fully emptied your bowels after going to the toilet are other signs

5. Blood in vomit, urine or faeces, bleeding between periods.

According to the survey of more than 1,700 people over the age of 50, more than 50% of people in the UK had experienced at least one of these symptoms, but only 2% thought cancer could be the cause.

The study, by Cancer Research, found that the majority of people were worried that there GP would think their complaint was trivial.

Others said they were too scared of a cancer diagnosis to seek help and some believed in maintaining a "stiff upper lip". And worryingly a large proportion of Brits hadn't gone to see a medical professional because they lacked confidence in the health system.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, accounting for almost a sixth (15%) of all cases in males and females combined.

The next most common is prostate cancer (13%) followed by lung (13%) and bowel (12%)

Ladies, Run Away Fast! These are 10 Warning Signs Of a Womanizer You Must Avoid

Real men who can truly love a woman do exist but they are hard to find but these are signs to watch out for in a serial womaniser.

Many of us are still looking for The One – the guy we will spend the rest of our lives with. Our soul mate who will be there for us all the time, loving us, comforting us, sharing moments with us and protecting us.

Finding the one guy that is perfect for you is not easy, and many of us are scared of making the same dating mistakes over again. Many of us have dated the creeps, the losers, the lazies, the crazies, the overly sickly sweets, the FIFA players, the machos, the mommies boys, and the over achievers who we can’t keep up with. But what about the one type of man we all fear the most, The Womanizer?

The womanizer is a man who isn’t ready to settle down yet, but he’ll do anything to convince you that he is. He’ll tell you you’re the love of your life and that you’ve got great eyes, great legs and great everything.

But how do you know when you’ve got a womanizer on your hands and not the genuine article? Let’s take a look at the top 10 warning signs of a womanizer.

1. He Gets Your Name Wrong

Yesterday you were Rita, today you’re Lisa and tomorrow you’ll be Priscilla. Sure, he says he’s got fifteen aunties and five different moms but you should know deep down that he’s actually got too many single ladies in his life.

2. He’s Super Vain

For a lot of women, having a great sense of humour is the first trait we look for in a prospective partner. But if a man is a womanizer, it’s highly likely that his sense of humour cuts dead as soon as you touch his immaculate hair.

Don’t try to touch his suits either because they cost a bomb.

“Please tell me you did not just put my dry-clean only suit in the wash? I. MIGHT. DIE.”

3. He Never Lives Up To His Word

We’ve all felt a rush of blood to our heads as our man tells us what he’s going to do for us. He’s going to take us away for a romantic weekend, introduced us to his family, and basically capture the moon for us.

It all sounds so exciting and we instantly buy into his dream. His words have swept us off our feet.

After a few weeks and months, though, he still hasn’t made good on his word. You’ve still not been away for a weekend together (as a matter of fact, he seems to spend most of his weekends away on his own), and you haven’t even met his family. Is this guy for real and are his endless list of excuses just a cover-up? You bet!

4. He Has A Reputation

If women have come up to you or messaged you on Facebook that your new man has got a reputation, you shouldn’t swiftly dismiss this accusations as manifestations of jealousy. Instead, you should hear them out and make up your own mind.

5. He Only Seems To Appear Later At Night

From my experience, this is the biggest tell-tale sign of them all that you’ve got a perennial womanizer on your hands.

Your man should be available day and night, and not just “any time after ten PM.” It just isn’t good enough that he only makes a cameo appearance when the sun has set. Sure, he tells you that he’s been working late or whatnot, but you know deep down that something just doesn’t seem right here.

A man who isn’t a womanizer will want to see you at all times, and not at the witching hour only.

6. When He Compliments You All The Time

They say that when a guy compliments us too much it usually means they’re feeling guilty about something, or they’ve got something to hide.

Sometimes, guys will shower us with compliments whenever they’re feeling good about something – such as a spot of womanising.

When a man looks into your eyes and tells you how beautiful you are, it’s sincere and genuine.

But when he’s hyper and won’t stop covering you with compliments about your eyes, your legs, your hair, your bum et cetera, you should be on your guard.

7. He Moves Really Fast

You haven’t even introduced yourself and he already wants to buy a house with you and have all your babies. Red flag.

8. He Locks His Phone

We all locked our phones when we were kids (still no idea why), but no normal adult does this in 2016.

Except womanizers, of course.

If you notice that his phone is constantly buzzing and he’s always texting someone, it’s a pretty big warning sign. But if he also locks his phone so that you can never access it, it’s a full on red-alert that he’s not the man for you.

9. He Doesn’t Call Back For Ages

You’ve just had a great night with him that you both seemed to enjoy. You had a laugh, some dinner and a bit of romance. It went so well.

But then he doesn’t return your call for days afterwards. What gives?

Eventually, of course, he will return and say that he was busy or something equally empty. He’ll want another giggle, some more dinner and a bit more romance again.

Take all this as a warning sign. He only wants you when he’s got a few needs to fulfil. Once they’ve been taken care of, he’s off to look for other adventures.

10.He Flirts On Social Media

Facebook is often a great place to find out whether or not your man is a womanizer. If he isn’t a womanizer, his photos and comments will be totally normal and respectful. There might be pictures of him enjoying a drink with the lads, and maybe one or two of his mom.

If, however, he can’t get enough of the opposite sex, you can expect to see lots of photos of him on regular nights out with lots of different girls. You’ll also notice flirty comments and invitations to hang out with all kinds of women you’ve never heard of before. No matter how much he tells you he loves you, it’s clear that he can’t control his appetite for girls.
